FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BALTIMORE, MD. (Wednesday, June 14, 2023) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott released the following statement regarding the passage of the FY2024 budget.

"Over the course of the last few weeks, the City Council and I have worked together to outline a FY2024 City Budget that will ensure Baltimoreans everywhere are able to thrive. While this year's budget process was different than past years, today's passage of the amended budget is a testament to our ability to find common ground and lay out a shared vision for investing in Baltimore's future. Through negotiations and public hearings, we've reached a consensus that reflects our values, invests in historically disenfranchised parts of our city, and helps strengthen city government's ability to deliver for residents. I want to thank the Council for its work through this process and for sharing my goals of putting forth a budget that is equitable, inclusive, and forward-looking."
