| Function | The Committee’s purpose is to serve in an advisory capacity and provide guidance, recommendations, and support to the Mayor, City Council, and Senior Advisor of Arts & Culture in Baltimore City on matters involving arts and culture. Membership. A. The Committee is comprised of 23 members who have significant interest in or experience in arts and culture. Of those members: 1. 20 members are appointed by the Mayor; 2. 2 members are nominated by the Council President; and 3. 1 member is nominated by the Comptroller B. Members appointed by the Mayor shall serve terms concurrent with the term of the Mayor. At the end of the term, an appointed member continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies. A member appointed to fill a vacancy arising during any term serves only for the remainder of that term. Meetings of the Committee shall be subject to the Maryland Open Meeting Act. |
