Baltimore Will Celebrate the 4th of July with Cherished Traditions at the Inner Harbor, and New Partnerships and Attractions in Cherry Hill

BALTIMORE, MD (Monday, June 9, 2025) - Today, Mayor Brandon M. Scott announced the City of Baltimore's 2025 Fourth of July programming. This year the city's celebration will include fireworks at the Inner Harbor, and for the inaugural collaboration between the city and the Annual Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival. This exciting new partnership will showcase culture and talent unique to Charm City through two special celebrations for Baltimore residents and visitors alike.

"Every summer, Baltimoreans look forward to the Fourth of July at the Waterfront, which always delivers some of the best fireworks in the country and entertainment for the whole family," said Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott. "This year, we're partnering with one of my favorite festivals, the Cherry Hill Waterfront Festival, bringing together these two great events for one big celebration. Between fireworks at the Inner Harbor and a drone show at the festival, this promises to be our most exciting July 4 yet."

Inner Harbor Fourth of July Celebration and Firework Display

As in previous years, Mayor Scott will participate in his annual tradition of kayaking into the Inner Harbor to offer 4th of July greetings to the crowd. The Inner Harbor celebration will be held from 6:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. This year, the event stage will be located at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, and will feature performances by local talent. The best views of the evening's fireworks will be from the Inner Harbor, Federal Hill, and Harbor East.

Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival and Drone Show

In cooperation with the Mayor's Office of Art, Culture, and Entertainment this year's highly anticipated 9th Annual Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival in Middle Branch Park will be held on July 4th, from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During the festival, attendees will be treated to a custom drone show at 9:30 p.m. Set against the backdrop of the Patapsco River, this environmentally friendly alternative to fireworks will illuminate the night sky in celebration of the Fourth of July. Developed in collaboration with cultural arts organizers from Cherry Hill and the Youth Resiliency Institute, this innovative display merges technology and art in a breathtaking aerial show. The drone show will launch from West Covington Park, with the best viewing area at the festival grounds in Middle Branch.

"This year's inaugural Independence Day custom drone show at the Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival is the outcome of a partnership with the Office of Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott, whose dedication to arts and culture throughout Baltimore City continues to impact communities in profound ways," said Navasha Daya, Co-Founder of the Youth Resiliency Institute and Co-Director of the Festival. "We are truly appreciative of his support of the Cherry Hill Arts & Music Waterfront Festival over the years."

Thanks to the generous support of lead sponsor South Baltimore Gateway Partnership, the family-friendly event is free to attend, offering something for everyone, including live music, food trucks, exhibits, vendors, and immersive cultural experiences. Rain or shine, festival attendees can expect a day filled with unforgettable performances and community engagement.
